Daily geography game where rare answers win

Farflung is a free daily geography game. Each day brings one expedition of five prompts (e.g. a landlocked country in South America, or a country whose flag contains orange), and for each prompt you drop one pin on a world map. The twist: obvious answers earn little, because your score depends on how few other players picked the same country — rare right answers carry you further. Expeditions reset at midnight in your local time zone.
Each expedition presents five prompts with many possible right answers (8 to 60 per prompt, built from published country data). You lock in one country per prompt by tapping the map or using search.
Right answers fall into five tiers — Common (40 km), Uncommon (55 km), Rare (70 km), Elusive (85 km), Farflung (100 km) — with a maximum expedition of 500 km. Wrong or empty pins score 0.
Rarity reflects how many players chose the same country. Initial estimates come from Wikipedia article view counts, then real player pins take over as data arrives.
Territories count for the country that governs them — pinning Greenland counts as Denmark, and French Guiana counts as France.
Once a day ends in every time zone, a final count of all pins can raise your distance if your answers turned out rarer than they looked. Final counts never lower a score.
Expeditions from the previous seven days can be replayed from the camp screen; they're scored normally but don't extend your streak.
An optional mode that deals fresh runs of five prompts as often as you like, with or without the 60-second clock. It never uses upcoming daily prompts and doesn't affect your streak.
Each prompt has a 60-second timer and you get one expedition per day, with everyone worldwide receiving the same five prompts for the same date.
Press Start expedition. The first prompt appears with a 60-second clock.
Tap a country on the map or search for it by name, then tap again or press Drop pin to lock it in.
You see how far that pin carried you, then move on to the next prompt.
After five pins, every right answer is revealed with how many players picked it. A new expedition starts at midnight in your time zone.
Farflung is free to play, with one expedition per day. Farflung Unlimited offers unlimited extra runs of five prompts (with or without the clock); no price is listed on the page.

Any country that fits the prompt. Each prompt has between 8 and 60 right answers, built from published country data. Overseas territories count for the country that governs them, so a pin on Greenland is a pin on Denmark.
By how many players chose the same country. Before many people have played a prompt, the starting estimate comes from how often each country's Wikipedia article is read; as pins come in, real player choices take over.

Right answers fall into five rarity tiers worth 40 to 100 km: Common (40 km), Uncommon (55 km), Rare (70 km), Elusive (85 km), and Farflung (100 km). A wrong country or empty pin is a Miss worth 0 km. The best possible expedition is 500 km.
When a day has ended in every time zone, Farflung makes a final count of every pin. If your answer turned out rarer than it looked while you played, you receive the extra distance — a final count never lowers a score.
