An open-source Slack clone powered by Jido agents
Jido Assembly is a multi-user chat application - a Slack clone - built to showcase the Jido ecosystem. It demonstrates how Jido Agents, Jido Messaging, Jido Chat, Hologram, and the BEAM compose together to create an agent-native application. In Assembly, agents are first-class participants in rooms, using the same messages, threads, and events as humans. The application includes expected team chat features: channels, direct messages, threads, reactions, mentions, search, presence, and mobile room switching. It handles concurrent participants, durable state, room-level routing, real-time updates, Agent execution, and external provider boundaries. It is a developer showcase, not a production replacement, and lacks auth, file uploads, and enterprise features. Jido Assembly is for developers interested in building agent-native applications with the Jido ecosystem. It provides a working example of how Jido packages compose beyond a simple Agent example, with seeded data and optional live integrations.
