Seven flags. Guess which are real and which are invented.
Real Flag / Fake Flag is a daily flag-guessing game where you're shown seven flags and have to decide whether each one is real (actually used and documented somewhere) or fake (fan redesigns, mashups, or software-generated designs). After each guess you read the answer, and flags get harder as you go.
Each day presents a fresh set of seven flags across multiple different kinds of flags; you pick Real or Fake for each and then read the answer.
Beyond the daily game, there are 10, 20, 50, and 100 flag challenges, plus Endless and Endless instadeath modes.
The flags get harder as you progress through the sequence.
After each choice you read the answer, and the site explains its curation rules: real flags include national, state, regional, city, Indigenous peoples, pride, organisational, movement, military, and naval flags; fakes include fan redesigns, mashups, and software-generated designs.
Your streak is saved locally in the browser with no accounts required, and you can generate a code to move it to another device.
Players can submit their own flags to be used in future games.
Play the daily seven-flag game or choose a 10/20/50/100 flag challenge, Endless, or Endless instadeath.
For each flag shown, choose Real or Fake, then read the answer.
Your streak is saved in your browser and can be transferred between devices with a generated code.

Flags that are or were actually used and are documented — national flags (old and current), plus flags of states, regions, cities, Indigenous peoples, pride flags, organisations, movements, military flags, naval flags, and more.
Fan redesigns, reimagined flags, mashups of two or more real flags, and designs generated by software. Many come from Reddit and flag forums, and some are made by the developer.
Yes. Proposals that were never adopted, flags with little to no documentation, very obscure flags, and flags whose use is heavily disputed are left out because they are neither clearly real nor clearly fake.
