Terraform a lonely planet and bring it back to life
SEEDS is an upcoming open-ended planet-terraforming sandbox game by small independent studio Against All Odds. You play as ROBO unit RB-23, stranded on a desolate planet deep in space, and work to make it habitable: deploying machines to restore atmosphere, water and nutrients, reshaping the surface, growing plants and ecosystems, and attracting animals and remnants of a lost civilization. The game launches in Early Access (targeting Q4/2026, wishlistable on Steam) and is in active development, with a survival mode and a 30+ hour story mode about protagonist Naxiah planned on top of the sandbox.
Deploy machines to bring back atmosphere, water, and nutrients; reshape the planet's surface with ponds, bridges, and rivers, and renaturize the planet.
Grow a variety of plants and flowers, plant trees, and create an intact ecosystem; attract and interact with animals and aliens from a lost civilization.
Build machines, alien villages, and biospheres, decorate your home base, place decorative plants and items, and research machines.
A complete 64-bit RISC-V virtual machine running an unmodified Linux kernel and a slightly modified Alpine Linux distribution; you can program it in the language of your choice and run your own programs, with automation of the sandbox planned.
Fly a spaceship around the planet and out to the asteroid belt, ride a hoverboard, and explore as ROBO unit RB-23.
Opt-in defense against asteroids, drone invasions, and alien invasions — or play completely peacefully.
Play chess and a block-stacking game on the hologram table, plus small arcade and puzzle games within the game.
A 30+ hour story about protagonist Naxiah and the Echoes Beneath the Sands, with research, blueprints, and resource-driven progression (coming soon).
Early Access begins as an open-ended sandbox: terraform the planet, experiment with its ecosystem, collect resources, construct machines, and place plants and items.
Reshape the planet's surface, add water, build an atmosphere with machines, and watch plants grow and animals roam.
Decorate your home base, run research, and use the in-game RISC-V Linux computer to play games or write and run your own programs.
Play peacefully or enable hazards like asteroid strikes and drone/alien invasions; survival and story modes are in development to add progression and challenge.

SEEDS starts in Early Access and is in active development, meaning it isn't feature-complete yet. It begins as an open-ended sandbox, with survival and story modes in development.
Terraform and reshape the planet's surface, add water, build machines and an atmosphere, place plants and decorative items, grow plants, have animals roam, decorate your home base, fly the spaceship to the asteroid belt, ride a hoverboard, and play in-game arcade and puzzle games.
A story mode is in development. It adds the tale of protagonist Naxiah and the Echoes Beneath the Sands, with more than 30 hours of story, research, blueprints, and resource-driven progression.
No. You can optionally enable hazards like asteroids and drone or alien invasions and defend the planet, but you always have the option to play completely peacefully.
It's a complete 64-bit RISC-V virtual machine running an unmodified Linux kernel and a slightly modified Alpine Linux distribution. You can program it in the language of your choice and run your own programs; later you'll be able to influence and automate your sandbox from within it.
