Spinifex
AWS APIs on infrastructure you control.
Spinifex is a cloud platform that provides AWS APIs on infrastructure you control, taking its supported services from three to eleven over a five-month run of nineteen releases. The platform aims to solve the need for AWS-compatible APIs and orchestration in self-hosted or air-gapped environments. It is designed for engineers, system administrators, and organizations looking to run production-tested AWS services like EC2, EKS, RDS, and ECS on their own infrastructure.
Use Cases
- Engineers running Kubernetes clusters via EKS APIs with K3s control planes
- Developers deploying containers using ECS task definitions and ECR private registries
- Administrators managing managed PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases via RDS APIs
- Teams operating infrastructure in air-gapped or internet-isolated sites
